Technology is something that David has always been passionate about, and as it has progressed and developed over the years he has aimed to stay at the forefront of these changes. The way in which it influences our daily lives and the things we do, meant that David took a real interest in how this technology can benefit everyone. David worked with companies that installed TV and movie systems at luxury hotels throughout Europe, for more than a decade he became familiar with the changes in the industry and then progressed to become a development manager for a leading AV company in 2010.
After spending 8 years with this company, David moved to another reputable smart home design and installation company. David first met with Carl in 2011 working on projects as a design and installation team. Ten years later they decided that it was the perfect time to collaborate and utilise their experience and knowledge. From here Complete Smart Home Solutions was born.

South London Control4 Smart Home Installation
Welcome to our South London Control4 Smart Home Installation
We assigned a project manager for all our new installations, meeting with the clients and discussing the project schedule.
This was a challenging installation because our client wanted a full smart home system upgrade with the few data and audio cables they had already in place and moved from a little cupboard in the corner of their media room to a basement utility room where we could install a 42U floor standing rack, where our team was able to install all the new AV and smart home equipment in a safe and cool environment. Our specialist cable team first mapped out the least intrusive cable route for all new cables to be installed. Not only extending the cables from the existing cupboard but also installing new data cables for the home network as well as the media room TV.
Once these new cables had been installed and tested the next stage was the smart home installation and rack build. Headed up by one of our project managers our clients installation went smoothly. This project consisted of a cable infrastructure, with a new home network starting with a draytek router, ruckus wireless access points and new 48 port POE networking switch. The new 42U rack custom built by our specialist rack building team and all smart home and networking hardware was custom wired in the rack, with all new cables and connections. The smart home system consisted of a Control4 Core 5 processor, Control4 wireless lighting with white glass frames and custom engraved buttons. 8 Zone audio matrix and a 4K IP TV system with 7 sources feeding 8 TV's and a DS2 door entry system, The basement media room has a 5.1 surround sound system with a 75" Sony TV, with a fiber cable linking the AVR and PS5. Finally a new Luma CCTV system with amazing 3rd party integration into the Control4 smart home system.
Welcome to another custom home cinema room.
Our team specialises in custom home cinema rooms from the basic to the extravagant. Our client asked us to provide a cost effective solution for their home cinema but still provide great sound and picture quality. This is exactly what our team was able to do and our client was over the moon with the end result! This room consists of a 7.1 Triad surround sound system, a drop down 4k 110" cinema screen, Sony DLA 4K projector, 7.2 Yamaha AVR and finally Control4 lighting, and Somfy curtains, the entire system is controlled via the Control4 app. Our client said "This room is fun for our entire family, I didn't think we would use it as much as we do, it's amazing" It's great to hear all our hard work is being enjoyed!
Another amazing project we are super proud to be a part of!
Our client contacted us at the start of their refurbishment, it was a complete internal rip out, new electrical wiring and a complete home automation design and 1st fix. After a meeting with our client we put together two different smart home packages giving our client options on design and budget. After a meeting to discuss in more detail the decision was made to go for the 1st proposal which included the full Control4 panelized lighting system, with over 80 lighting lighting circuits and 47 Control4 keypads and 3 lighting boards. Our client wanted the best in lighting and functionality so that's what we gave them! Our home automation package didn't stop there, it also included a Control4 gate entry system with a Yale integrated door locking system, 8 10" on wall Control4 touchscreens installed in pre designed location throughout the property. The media room is a 7.2 Dolby Atoms surround sound system with a built in TV wall, also for those big movie nights a drop down 110" projector screen with a 4K projector. For easy control over all of these different technologies in one room is a Control4 Halo remote, its custom programming allows our client to sit back and enjoy the multiple technologies available in the media room with the touch of a button. This is the perfect multi function room! And of course a custom home network with 6 wireless access points, draytek router and 2 24 port POE network switches, a high level data rack with custom wiring back to the 22U floor standing AV rack.
All of the above is being controlled by a Control4 Core5 processor, and has been custom programmed by our Control4 specialists install team. We are very grateful to be a part of this project.
On this project Complete Smart Home Solutions was asked to sign an NDA, so we cannot reveal the project location or pictures, but we can write a detailed description of our project.
Initially a member of our sales team was contacted by a luxury developer we design smart homes for, they had been asked by their new client if they could recommend a home automation company. We were asked to attend a meeting with the developer and their client to discuss requirements. After a meeting with the clients and other contractors involved with the project our sales team put together a home automation design. Our specification was to provide only the best in smart home technology, which we did!
The following design was proposed and accepted.
Our client had a purpose built AV room on the 3rd floor we designed 2 x 21U racks, the 1st was for all the data and WiFi equipment and UPS smart back up and the 2nd was to house the Control and AV equipment and UPS smart back up. On the ground floor was a 3rd data rack connecting the main incoming 1G line and alarm with a UPS smart back up system also, and this connected to the Control4 hub on the 3rd floor. Our client wanted to have a system that could make every day life easier and would bring all the different aspects of their home together. The Control4 system we proposed did just that! The client had 8 TV's, 4 Sky boxes and 3 Roku media sticks, so this was a job for an IP TV system run over CAT6 and controlled by either a Control4 Halo remote or 10" table top Control4 touchscreen. In our clients office the room has been split into two sides with the TV located in the middle of the wall in a custom built cabinet and desk. On the one side of the room was his work station and on the other side was the gaming area. Because of the 3 TV positions we installed a motorised TV bracket that could be controlled with the Control4 desk top touchscreen, a one touch pre programmed button for the gaming area, one for the work station and then back to the center. Our client was so happy with the results, their words were "this is so cool" which was great to hear! Moving on we had to design a multi zone audio system with ceiling speakers in nearly every room either silver or gold standard depending on the room and its function. For security we installed a Control4 recommended CCTV system which allowed the client to view and playback live footage from the Control4 on wall 10" touchscreen or on the the many table top touchscreens available around the house and on all the TV screens. The alarm system is also integrated through the Control4 smart home system, showing any windows or doors that are open and movement through the ground floor PIRs. Finally we have a Control4 gate entry system which can be controlled via any touchscreen in the property or via the Control4 app allowing access to trades or family no matter where you are the world. This is only our 1st phase on this project with a custom home cinema room to come!
This media room project was the perfect example of how to make the best use of an old out build/stable that was in part still in use! The idea was to have a media room for entertaining, movie nights and the occasional major sports event. Our sales team produced a media room design within the clients budget. Our team first designed the cable structure and a point to point WiFi connection from the main house. The 83" TV was mounted in a custom built recess, with a custom made to measure sound bar mounted directly underneath the TV. The audio system was based on a 5.1 surround sound system because of the size and shape of the room, all speakers would be in wall and in ceiling speakers saving space and sounding great! To house all the media equipment a small 9U data rack was installed in the cupboard, and finally to control the TV and media equipment a single room solution with the Control4 bundle that consists of a small processor and remote. You will also see from the picture they built a bar and separate sitting area. We are happy to say our clients are enjoying their new space!
The story of this project starts as most of our projects do, with a referral from one of our previous clients. I had my initial meeting with our new client, they told me they had already had a quote from a different AV company and it was a lot of money for a system that looked incomplete. A member of our sales team was shocked to see how bad and over priced their system design was. After listening to the client we came back with a system design that they loved and was within their budget. This project included a Control4 smart home system, with two 12U custom design AV racks to fit in the media room cupboards on the 2nd floor, multi zone audio with Episode 8" in ceiling speakers, wireless Control4 lighting, multi zone HD distribution, wireless texecom alarm system, an end of garden games room with wifi, TV and audio.
This was a project that we were asked to get completed in a short time frame, as our new client had moved in just a week before Christmas! Our team was asked to work late to get this project finished before their family and friends came to visit. This project involved a custom wall rack, home data and WiFi network, HD distribution and new TV all installed in custom made TV wall units. Once the installation was finished we didn't have time to take completion pictures, but I'm happy to say the system has been working for years with no need to return.
As most of our projects we start at by meeting with our client to discuss all their smart home options. This was a complete renovation and rewire. As you can see from our early project picture our technicians were tasked to install AV and data cables throughout, having to get through tight spaces and flooring. It was a challenge but we did it! This project was a Control4 smart home system that included wireless Control4 lighting control, multi zone audio and multi zone video with add heating control and door entry. All controlled via an only wall Control4 touchscreen, the TV's had the Control4 remotes and for access while away from home they used the Control4 app.
This was a simple project, working with a developer we have had a long standing relationship with. Millgate Homes are one of the most recognised luxury house builders in the Surrey area. Complete Smart Home Solutions have completed many projects for them and their clients over the years. This project was a simple aerial and HD distribution installation.
This was an exciting project for us, it not only involved a custom 100" cinema screen built into the gym, with Triad ceiling speakers which gave our client an amazing gym experience. But we also installed Control4 lighting throughout the home, multi zone TV distribution, multi zone audio, multiple on wall touch screen, heating control, gate entry, alarm and CCTV integration all through Control4 smart home system. We worked very closely with our clients appointed electrician to complete the 1st fix and lighting keypad positions.
This project was a start to finish design and installation, which included a 3D render of the finished room. All the custom cables were installed back to the rack, these include a 20m fibre optic HDMI, 4 core audio cable, & Cat 6.
Our client wanted the best sound and visual experience so we gave them a 7.4.4 dolby atmos surround sound with a 130" acoustically transparent screen, complete with 4k Sony Projector. In total there are 6 lighting circuits and one on wall Control4 lighting keypad. The video inputs, AVR and lighting are all controlled via the Control4 desktop touch screen.
If you can add in the above for this 1st one I will send you the following emails to add to the other pictures and project details.
